SHADY GROVE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Shady Grove United Methodist Church, located on Pouncy Tract Road in Glen Allen, Virginia, is a family friendly Church. With growing ministries for youth, seniors, evangelism, music and arts, a larger facility was needed to accommodate the expanding congregation and community outreach. The new Church building on Pouncy Tract Road successfully meets the Church’s architectural and spatial needs. The 300-seat Sanctuary features exposed wood beams, that create a warm worship environment, and triangular clerestory windows provide adequate natural lighting. The carpenter gothic architectural style, with white hardy plank siding and pointed arch windows blends well within the neighboring surroundings and serves as a bright beacon within the community.
